Bermuda International Register of Civil Aircraft

3.1 - Management of the Register

3.1.1 - The Governor of Bermuda is required by the Order to maintain and manage a register of aircraft and to accept applications to register aircraft from qualified persons. The Governor's responsibilities in this regard have been designated to the office of the Director and all correspondence concerning the Register should be addressed to the Director.

3.1.2 - The responsibilities of the Director include all matters concerning the registration, certification, operation and maintenance of aircraft on the Register. The Director's responsibilities also include the regulation of the Bermuda International Airport, air navigation services and aviation security as well as all matters related to the economic regulation of air transport and air services development.

3.1.3 - In this Brief, the term Governor shall be interpreted to include the Director, as may be appropriate to the context and circumstances described. Where the Director is cited, for administrative and editorial convenience, as the responsible authority he functions with the designated authority of the Governor.
