Peter joined the Royal Air Force in 1965, and after completing flying training he flew the Vulcan Mk. 2 and several variants of the Canberra. On leaving the R.A.F. in 1976 he worked with the Royal Navy Fleet Requirement Unit flying Canberras and Hunters.
After gaining his civilian licenses he joined Britannia Airways in 1979 and served initially as a First Officer on the Boeing 737, until gaining his command in 1982. He served as Commander on Boeing 737’s, 757’s and 767’s until 2003. During his time with Britannia he did temporary loan service with Royal Brunei Airlines, Dinar Airlines (Argentina) and Hajj operations with Garuda.
Peter retired from active flying in 2003 with 17,000 flying hours. He now resides in Bermuda with Sue his Bermuda born wife.
